Default narrowboat rallies / festivals

Hello group

A newbie question: are there any more narrowboat rallies / festivals
this year? I know there was one recently, unfortunately I missed it.
Something like the ideal home exhibition, but afloat, obviously.
Somewhere to see new and old narrowboats. What is the biggest gig?

I'm not really into folk music, but Real Ale is great :)

cheers

The Black Country Boating festival is on 16th and 17th Sept. iirc, do a
web search to check, though I think thats right. At Netherton, near
Dudley.
The Black Country Museum have an annual gathering, which is usually the
weekend after the above festival.Again, do a search to check.

Both are worth visiting, though unless it has changed in recent years (I
havent been for 5 years) there are no boat makers displaying, though
plenty of other boats moored up, as well as lots of stands promoting
various canal groups etc, as well as the usual fairground rides and
stalls selling all sorts at the festival.
The museum do is a more sober affair, but still worth going to.
Alan.
