With the national coming up this weekend how does every one rate the
inland shows and does anyone go to the London Boat Show at ExCel?

Depends on what you are looking for.

Crick is an excellent show if you want to buy a boat, engine etc.

The National is much more of a campaigning event but still has a large
number of boat builders, engine manufacturers exhibiting (and is an
excellent social event)

Other canal boat shows (Canalway Cavalcade, Wedndover, Saul etc are
great to attend but are mainly campaigning events.

The London boat show is getting less relavent to inland boaters after
an excellent show 2 years ago but will still keep your attention for a
day even if only to see how the other half live/spend their money.

I was very disappointed with the less than ExcCel..lent show this year.

All the BW and EA stuff... even the pub.. was tucked away in a far
corner of one of the side halls.... as if it was unimportant in the
scheme of things.

I would suggest, though, that if you have a couple of million to spend,
it would be a great place to pick out an ocean going yoghurt pot.
