What would you guys recommend then if you were to buy current models
of heater, cooker and 12volt/mains system? to comply with everything
but still be affordable?

Given that the OP is thinking along the lines of a Freeman 26 - £200 for
fridge cables is a bit OTT don't you think Tony? Possibly an extra zero
there? Likewise a craft as short as a Freeman would only need two
extinguishers - cost about £30 each most places. Let's not try to
exaggerate the costs too much
