Default satellite tv on boats

I moor my boat at Braunston, therefore suffer with poor TV reception

I thought that the answer would be to buy a mini dish and decoder. However I
am only interested in the main channels, BBC1+2, ITV, Ch.4 & Ch.5.

Is there any easy way to access these channels without a Sky subscription?

Help please!!

John Milton

I now have sat tv on boat
achieved by spending 75GPB on ebay for s/h decoder and dish, 19 GBP approx
with maplins for sat dish set up kit and a few bits and peices out of my
shed to allow dish to be mounted on a modified mooring spike so rockin of
boat will have no effect. next ring sky and ask for a free to air card this
arrived within a couple of days, register it to your decoder with sky and
hey presto free to air digital sat tv for less than 100 GBP
its not difficult in spite of what tv dealers tell you
cheers drew

We get good pictures aboard our boat; mind you we have a larger dish
that we would use on land!
