Default Dog Muck

Someone at Braunston has had a great idea - each patch of dog muck is marked
with a ring of yellow spray paint on the ground.
You can then see where not to step, and also it hopefully reminds careless
dog owners where they've left it, and might make them leave less in future.
Could we encourage this to become more widespread (the marking, not the
muck) - a job for Scouts - or maybe for boaters - it isn't a messy job.

I don't know what the property owners would think, BW etc.

I'm in favour, and can we spray the dogs' ar$e$ as well ?

Beeky

BTW I don't think "careless" is the adjective for the owners. Selfish,
anti-social, ignorant, disease spreading yes. But they allow their dogs to
cr&p on the public paths deliberately.

Spookily, I today read in BW's plan for the future, that in 2003/4, one of
their environmental targets is to reduce dog muck.
Strangely, dog muck is one of the most common aspects of the waterways that
I don't have pictures of in my library!

The Shrewsbury & Border Counties IWA Branch did its cleanup campaign on
the Audlem flight this year. Actually we found hardly any litter but
were surprised to find a number of instances where people had picked up
their dog muck in a plastic bag - then thrown the filled bag into the
hedge.

Serious answer - dog sh*t will dry white if a dog is fed mainly on
bones, particularly lamb/mutton bones. I suppose therefore that the answer
is that dogs don't eat as many bones as they used to when you were a lad!

>No, it is caused by the dog eating the marrow.
Thanks for answering a question I've wondered about for years!

A straw poll around the office came up with the answer that poodle poo is
always defiinitely white!
