My BMC 2.5 raw water pump has a rubber impeller that melted when the engine got cooked by my brother.

My overheating problems on my BMC last year ended up being the water pump. The rubber impeller and dissintegrated! Replaced it and problem solved, until later on in the year when the old impeller came back to haunt me. The fins that had broke off the old one collected up and blocked the pump!
