Met the local BW volunteer licence vigilante today. Nice chap.
Cyclist. Wears a shirt and smart trousers. Carries a portable
computer. So, they do exist. Of course the way not to get caught
without a licence is to have no name and no number on your boat. Then
you can't be logged. There are quite a few of these on the
    Macclesfield, I note.

A asked him where I could moor for seven days nearby, safely, and he
advised moving up to Furness Vale. I meant here at Marple. Anyone
local have any suggestions? It all seems to be 48hr mooring around the
    junction.

I would think 48hrs as well.
Of course Tony could always ask if it was OK to moor there for the week in
    this instance.
Playing the disabled card is not cheating imho.
BW are welcomingly co-operative on such matters.
