I don't think that is quite correct. I have flown personally from at
least two airports; There is an airport in Pisa (PSA - Galileo Galilie )
which is close to Pisa centre and has a rail station connected to it and
there is also an airport in Florence (FLR - Peretola) which is
reasonably close to the centre of Florence, so I am not sure what you
mean. FLR has flights with Alitalia, Lufthansa, Austrian, Swiss,
Meridiana and other. PSA has flights from Alitalia, Ryanair and others.

.... F100s on ACMI and charter flights. Three of its aircraft already
are on wet-lease with Swiss International Air Lines. Helvetic’s
scheduled routes to Brindisi, Catania, Lamezia Terme, Palermo and Jerez
de la Frontera will be closed this fall.
Surely the OP was planning on flying on one of those "wet lease with
Swiss" flights?
