| | Guest | Charter Airline Flight timetables and aircraft type? Hi everyone,
My first post here, I'm hoping you might be able to help me. I'm
flying on Thomas Cook TCX329k on 25th June to Rhodes from LGW, and
wondered if there was anywhere I could find a timetable that states
what aircraft type will operate it?
I know that the last few weeks from the gatwick movements site that
it's a 757-300, but I haven't been able to find a timetable stating
what it will be the rest of the year. I'd love it if it stays a 753,
the 757 is my favourite aircraft and I haven't been on the -300 yet!
Thanks in advance for any help,
Best regards,
Neil | |

See the thread "plane type and seats" earlier this week.

Thanks - I did look at that but it doesn't provide a definite answer
since the link provided only shows what is operating the route now. It
may be unlikely but I know it can change over the season, for example
I noticed the Kos flight on the same day changed from a 753 to a 321
this week. I remember a few years back I downloaded a full timetable
to gatwick for the summer, with the aircraft type for each number,
showing which dates the aircraft type changed. Is anything like this
available so I can see what it is currently planned to be on june
25th?

I think we exhausted all our information sources when discussing that
previous thread. All that remains is perhaps to telephone the airline.

I didn't read t'other thread, but do the airlines alter the size of plane
depending how many tickets they've sold?

Very rarely, because they don't often have any spare, larger planes. I
did see it once, where BA wheeled out an ancient 767 at the last minute
to replace something smaller, one weekend when they were flying to
somewhere that was having a festival.
One good reason not to do it is that it mucks up the seat reservations.
