Very good John - I'll update the next iteration of the FAQ. For info,
EDI recorded slightly over 8m passengers in 2005.

I will indeed. The Airflow units at EDI haven't been moved yet (at
least, as of last week they hadn't). What the ban will do is push the
smokers to the front door. Nothing like trying to light a in that
bracing Scottish wind :)

I remember walking through DUB on the first morning of the Irish smoking
ban - the difference in air quality in Pier A was stunning. EDI's
equivalent will be the unfiltered smoking area right beside the arrivals
escalator.

Thank you for all of the interesting facts. I use the airport
regularly.
