Default Ryanair baggage policy

I am travelling with them next week. I received an e-mail from them on
5/12 which said:
"Passengers travelling on the same reservation can share the checked in
baggage allowance e.g. 2 passengers can check in one bag weighing 30kg"

However, on their web site says :
" Passengers may not use the unused allowances of others. No
pooling/sharing of baggage allowances is permitted, even when
travelling together on the same reservation"

So what's their policy about sharing allowance for people travelling on
the same reservation?.

What does it say in the email that you were sent with your confirmation
number? This will contain the terms and conditions under which you will be
travelling.

Mine did. I quote from the e-mail for a flight just a week or so ago. "The
checked baggage allowance is 15kg per person (no infant allowance).
Passengers may not use the unused allowances of others. Only passengers
travelling within the same flight reservation may pool their checked baggage
allowance. Any excess over 15kg per person will be charged at the rate of
GBP5.50/EUR8 per kilo (or local currency equivalent). For health and
safetyreasons Ryanair will not accept any individual item exceeding 32 kilos
and with combined dimensions of more than 81cms height, 119cms wide and
119cms depth."

> from today, you are NOT allowed to share allowance.

If they sent you a confirmation e-mail saying you can pool the allowance,
then that's the terms and conditions under which you booked, so they can't
suddenly change it in your case.

That's what I tought. I am sure somewhere in T&Cs, there is a clause
saying they are allowed to change T&Cs whenever they feel like it.

They can change their T&C, but the T&C at the time of booking are the ones
that will be in force. They may not be for subsequent bookings though. Ask
on uk.legal.
