Default concern about itinerary change

US Airways has changed our itinerary again! (3rd time since I first booked
back in October). We are flying from London Gatwick to Knoxville, Tennesee
and back on 10 January and returning 27 January. Our return itinerary now
has us arriving at Charlotte Douglas at 18.40 on 27 January and our flight
to London departs at 19.30.
This doesn't seem enough transfer time to me. I have had to run through this
airport once before and it's pretty big. I spoke to Expedia who arranged
our flight, but they just say that US Airways wouldn't have put our
itinerary like that if there wasn't enough time. Does anyone know Charlotte
Douglas airport well enough to say if this is enough time to walk from where
we come into the airport to the departure terminal gate for London? Also, I
don't know what time the gate shuts but I would imagine a half hour before
take off. Does anyone know the answer about gate closing times, etc? I know
we don't have to check in as such or bother with luggage as that is checked
through.
Many thanks for any comments.

The message <436f453b@212.67.96.135>

I would honestly say this was plenty of time as long as there are no
delays on the incoming flight. I have done an ORD change in a 50 min
schedule.

I have been through Charlotte on US Airways and I don't recall having
far to go at all, though cannot remember the exact details. Don't worry
about gate closure, US Airways will know you are expected from their
incoming flight. You only have to worry about being delayed, but that
could be the same whatever length of time you had at Charlotte. As
Expedia said, you wouldn't have been sold the flight if wasn't within
the minimum time limits set.
