Fly Thomson? You must be joking Because:
1 Thomson's weight limit is a mere 15kgs for hold luggage and 5 kgs
for hand luggage when she flew with them yesterday. My wife flew with
them last weekend and at check-in at Coventry Airport, she was charged
an extra £45. Had she flown with Easijet, there would have been no
charge because Easijet allows 20kgs for hold luggage and has no weight
limit for hand luggage.
2 Thomson accept bookings for one airport but then transfer the
flight to another. They do offer to transfer you by bus but who wants
to do that. For example, a flight to Valencia in early December has
been changed from Coventry to Nottingham EMA. And if you've already
booked in to the carpark at Coventry, you might want to cancel. But be
aware that if you do, YOU will have to pay a £5 cancellation charge!
Surely someone at Thomson has the wit to waive that?
Two sneaky tricks by Thomson to boost their profits. Except that we
won't be using them again. Its 'goodbye Thomson (and your rude staff),
hello again to Easijet, Jet2 and BMIBaby. In fact, Thomson are so short
sighted, I'd even prefer Ryanair. Now that's saying something!!
