Default Flight Cancellation

My flight this morning from SOU to EDI on BA was cancelled and I am confused about whether I am due compensation or not.

It was meant to be this morning at 10:30. The flight went technical and was cancelled. They have transferred us to the 14:30 flight that currently is due to
take off at 15:05.

The ticket was bought by my companies travel department.

Am I due compensation? Is my company due any?

I have read the text on BA's website and am none the wiser.

Any help gratefully received.

Steve

It's (presumably) short-haul, so you should get some money/voucher for
meals as the delay is more than 2 hours.

As Roland says you are entitled to some meal vouchers.

You are also entitled to choose not to travel and receive a refund
and some compensation.
If you choose to travel on a later flight you get naught.

Tim

He could have taken the Virgin XC train up and arrived at almost the same
time... and get a little compo.

So no compo then BAH!

Did get a £10 food voucher and got off eventually at 15:15, almost 5
hours late.
