Gatwick a Third World Airport?

Depends which platforms. Can't remember which platform pair, but it beggars
belief that they didn't put a lift/escalators at *both* platform pairs -
unless they're so badly signposted I've never found them. The number of
times I've seen folks having to leave some baggage of it at the top or
bottom, only having to return to get the rest.

And they wonder why folks drive to the airport?
