a 757 on a runway of +/- 7300 ft?
will they be able to carry full load?
if not, can it ever operate profitably?

Yep. They do happily on SNA's <6000ft runway.
>will they be able to carry full load?
Yep. SNA-NYC is ~2500; LPL-NYC is about 3500miles.
No problem.
>if not, can it ever operate profitably?
Yes.
Will it? That's a bigger one. LPL is untested as a destination, and
the public don't particularly like narrowbodies for long haul (even
though 707s were narrowbodies).

Manchester flight passengers are living or travelling to.
It could be the nail in the coffin for a second daily from Manchester
though.

Is LPL intended to be the destination ?
I guess there is a big catchment area around EWR to market LPL as a
destination.
But I would have thought EWR would be the primary destination and LPL would
have pretty much the same catachment area as MAN but maybe with lower
landing charges and therefore the possibility of lower prices. | |

Indeed I know Dutch people here who have been on weekend breaks to
Liverpool, Beatles and all that, and they came back saying they'd had
a fabulous time there!

discussions with Air Transat for a Toronto and MYT for an Orlando service
next summer.
