Default Missing Tickets & TOD Charge

Hi

I booked a deal thru the AirNewZealand Uk Website back on the 16th May,

London, Los Angeles (1 Week Stay), Auckland, Christchurch (3 Day Stay),
Auckland, Los Angeles (1 Week Stay), London £599 + Tax (Economy W Class,
Valid for Star Alliance Points!!)

There was no option for an Eticket, and a compulsory £10 Charge for Courier
Delivery of a Paper Ticket,

Anyway, Ticket did not show up after 2 weeks so called them, they say ticket
was not booked thru AirNewZealand but a 3rd Party (Voygertech), even tho
there is no mention of this on the Booking Pages (all on the AirNZ Web
site),

They said they had No Contact number for VoyagerTech, but would email them,
1 person said they were UK Based, another at AirNZ said they were Florida
Based,

Anyway the long ond short of it is,

AirNz say VoygerTech mailed the tickets 24th May using standard First Class
Mail, and they are being classed as lost in the post,!, I now have to pay
for TicketsOnDeparture

I don't think this is fair as I paid the £10 charge for courier delivery of
tickets, and they sent them standard mail and lost them, (They basically
accused me of not knowing were I lived and said the address I was giving
them must be wrong!!), even tho I have lived here for years and think I know
my own address OK!,

Anyway service has been appaling, who should I report this to, and am I
right thinking as I paid for a secure delivery method in plenty of time, I
should not get stuck with a TOS charge?.

Regards

Victoria

Default Missing Tickets & TOD Charge

>If you paid for courier delivery then the onus is on the company who
>issued and mailed to get the tickets reissed. Write a complaint to their
>head office and enclose a copy of your confirmation email which shows the
>courier charge (which you paid for). Point out that as *they* failed to
>send the tickets by the secure manner for which you paid, they can either
>arrange for the tickets to be reissued or swallow the TOD cost themselves.

Problem with this is nobody will supply any details of who the issuing
company is!, All AirNZ say is "Tickets are issued by VoyagerTech, we don't
have an address ro telephone number for them, we only contact them by
Email!).

Credit Card was billed and shows the Billing Company as "Air New Zealand
London" so really as far as I can see my contract is wilth them, though they
are denying it till they are blue in the face!

>I would also write to Air NZ customer service (they have an office in
>London) informing them of the problems and that the company issuing
>tickets on their behalf appears to be defrauding customers by charging for
>courier delivery and then sending by regular mail.

That will be the next step, but not really something I can do till I get
back and have the receipt for the charges to throw at them!,

Regards

Victoria

Default Missing Tickets & TOD Charge

Well Just to bring this to a close,

Tickets arrived Today (Thursday 3rd June)

Dated as Posted 25th May by Standard Airmail from Holland

Envelope was Air New Zealand with A Return Address in London on it, as was
the Comps slip inside!

The Tickets were Marked - Issued in Longwood Florida

The Tickets also showed a £10 Charge for courier delivery, and the Ticket
Stub was clearly marked SEND STANDARD MAIL!

So I will take it up with ANZ when I return!, but at least no arguments
with ANZ about TODs at the Airport,!

Thanks for comments from Everyone

Regards

Victoria
