Default Taxes, fees, charges and surcharges

Last night I went to the BA website to price a LHR - TXL return and got
£(GBP)75.00 + Taxes, fees, charges and surcharges of £(GBP)34.20

Then to the AA website which quoted the same fare using the same BA
flight numbers, but only £(GBP)29.40 for Taxes, fees, charges and
surcharges.

I booked via AA.

Why the difference?

Could it be that AA havent got around to adding the fuel surcharge yet.

Was it due to be added today Thursday ?
Did you visit the BA site after midnight and the AA site before midnight (US
time) ?

Both sites at around 21:00, at my age I've had my Horlicks and am in bed
by 22:00 ;-)

It does sound like the fuel surcharge is the difference. Anyway it's
booked and paid for. Now let's see if AJC's 'wondering' happens and
they try to collect a fiver at check in.

Charges seem to be getting worse and worse. A few minutes ago I booked
an SOU - EDI return with BA using BA Miles - the taxes, fees, charges
and surcharges were £(GBP)37.60

I really dont see why they are allowed to itemise them separately, it should
be like VAT and shown within the price.

P.S. Last week I flew bmibaby LGW-PRG-LGW 39.98 GBP incl taxes fees charges
etc.

These short haul mileage trips aren't worth it anymore.

Labour Party stealth taxes. Don't worry, there'll be an election soon.
