| | Guest | BA v Virgin premium economy I'd welcome some opinions from you seasoned travellers on here. My
wife and I are on our yearly hard earned two weeks in Florida in
October and I thought I'd spend a few quid extra and pay for premium
economy - anyone here got any experience on this route? Which one
would you choose and why? where's the cheapest place to buy etc...
Thanks. | |

to Miami otherwise I'd be on American out of curiousity - I've never
flown with them. | |

Thanks Res, but I always assumed that this was a codeshare operated by BA.

They appear to be genuine AA B777 flights.

On top of this MIA is an AA hub for their South American and Carribean
operations.
It's an AA flight. Sign up for an AA Advantage account. Subscribe to both
credit cards and pay for the trip on it you might have enough miles for an
upgrade on the way back 25000 needed. You could always use the cash you
would have given to BA/VS to buy some of the points.
Happy travels | |

Bear in mind that if you buy AA tickets through a consolidator you
will not get ANY miles for the trip. I was caught out like that last
summer: I bought from Trailfinders, paying a fare similar to that
offered on the AA website, and was disappointed that nothing was
credited to my account.

Is this a general rule, or are you extrapolating from your one-off
experience?
I recently bought an AA fare from Expedia - will I get miles, and how
can I tell?

It's an e-ticket. No fare code shown.
