Prague is a small airport, and a carrier might "hand carry" you from one
plane to the other (unless this is now a thing of the past). Perhaps you
could contact the airline's London office and ask what they think.

Why didn't I think of that?
Went to the UK website and the information telephone number was in
Prague - OK, I called them.
The girl who answered the phone was also surprised at the connection
time. After looking at her system all she could add was that her system
would allow her to sell that STN - ZAG combination, so "it must be OK".
Missing the connection could severely screw up a short break since
there is only the one flight a day from Prague to Zagreb. Prague may be
nice but it's not where I wont go this time :-(

I think it is extremely wise to consider the affect of missing a
connection before deciding how short a connection to accept. If I'm on
the way home, I may not be too bothered if I do miss a connecting
flight, so will accept more risk. Recently I was on the way to a
holiday and missing the onward flight would probably have meant a
delay of 2 days, so I chose a 5 hour connection rather than risk a
still legal shorter one. Of course the flight I took and the later one
were both on time and the connecting flight was late, but better safe
than sorry.

Possibly, but the distance is around 550km which would mean too much
time lost on a short break. This was intended to be a leisure trip so
I've decided it's not worth the hassle with such a tight connection time
:-( Now, where do I go for 4/5 days in late April?
