Not the lowest fare ever offered to the Caribbean (from where?) since
in 1998 I flew from LGW to the Dominican Republic for 129 pounds
return, including tax and everything.

Incidentally, is a "cheap" fare one that you are quoted on a website,
while an "expensive" fare one that is only offered to callers to a
premium-rate telephone number? A cheap FLIGHT would have a low fare
....

And I don't think BA is the world's favourite airline: don't Easyjet
carry more passengers than they do?

BA used to claim that because they carried more *International*
passengers than anyone else.

This is an echo of the way BAA call Heathrow the World's busiest
International Airport, when in fact it's only the busiest if you
discount domestic passengers (at both Heathrow and at the truly busiest
international airports like Atlanta and Chicago).

iirc, the airline with the most passengers (but mainly domestic) used to
be Aeroflot, but mergers and new low cost airlines in the USA may have
overtaken everyone.
