    Default In cabin baggage

I am looking to buy the largest in flight case I can that is sure to be
accepted by all the low cost airlines.
A collegue got caught going out of the UK by one airline and his next trip
he measured the airline's test cage and found it a millimeter or two smaller
    than
    the allowed baggage dimensions.

Has anyone had problems with 'soft' cases which go into cages if 'pushed'

    Any recommendations

Low cost airlines often restrict the size below the classic "IATA"
dimensions, in particular the smallest dimension to 20cm rather than
    25cm.

I've never seen a rucksack or roller-bag rejected when it needs to be
"pushed" into a cage, although people with "holdalls" sometimes have
problems (but such bags are far bigger than the regulation, anyway).
