Default Nike T-Speed

Hi i was wondering if anyone has come up with a method of improving
the ease of transitioning into the T-Speeds after mounting the bike in
T1 when the shoes are pre-clipped? I have found that after riding with
my bare feet on the open strap and all and then holding onto the loop
and trying to enter the flaps and sides of the shoe tend to get in the
way and obstruct the easy insertion of the foot into the shoe. Love to
hear from your experiences,

If this is really, really important to you, the solution is practice,
practice, practice - both on a trainer and on the road.

BUT - do you really save any time by being pre-clipped? How long does it
take you to slip on your (non-pre-clipped) cycling shoes in T1? If you save
more than a few seconds, I'd be surprised, and unless you're in danger of
winning your AG by a couple of seconds, it simply isn't worth the hassle.
I've seen more folks struggling, bent over their bike, barely moving out of
transition, weaving in the road and blocking other athletes, as they try to
get their feet into the shoes and fasten them - all for the sake of, what, a
few seconds or looking cool? ;-) I've actually seen folks crash attempting
this, and have even seen a couple of athletes penalized by officials for
creating a hazard to other competitors as they go through the machinations
of trying to do it.
