That is exactly what I think. I do not bike at high intensity after
eating, but weights are another matter. It should be done at maximum
effort (arguably) to gain, so it may be that I am not realizing my full
potential there. But, then again, the weight and reputations I use when
I eat and do not eat before does not change. So this theory may also be
wrong.
