Has NO ONE out there used these pedals?

I have them on my mountain bike and love them! I have no idea you would want
them on your Tri bike....maybe that's why you got no response.
What is wrong with a road pedal cleat? I'm not sure what you are trying to
accomplish.
Good luck!
Good Luck!

Thanks for the response David,
Simply put, what I'm trying to accomplish is to find a pedal that has
adjustable float with small shoe bottom cleats.
I've found that when I use pedals without float (such as the SPD
pedals/cleats I'm using now), my knees start to hurt after about 1-1/2 hours
on the bike.
On the other hand, I've tried using Speedplay's free floating X/2 pedals,
which worked great as far as my knees are concerned, but I can't stand the
giant cleats on my shoe bottoms. On several occasions, I've twisted my
ankles or slipped in the transition area while trying to run/walk in those
things.
I suppose you could say I'm looking for the best of all worlds. If there is
another option out there that I'm missing I'm all ears.

| | Guest | Speedplay Frogs? john, what about bebop pedals? i've used them before and the cleat is
pretty small. i haven't researched them much, but maybe combe brand?
also, since it seems you're already looking at mtb pedals, try the
crank brothers eggbeaters, very small cleat and good float. though,
life might be much easier if you buy good road pedals and just leave
your shoes clipped in?! good luck!

John,
I quess I still don't get your problem. How about leaving your shoes
clipped on the pedals in the transition. You WANT a large platform cleat like
the speedplay or you'll get hot spots. I agree the speedplay cleats are a bit
slippery, but the problem may be your shoes too. Anyway, I just leave them
clipped in the pedals....even for training. It's faster too.
Good luck!
Good Luck!

Because I would be a danger to myself and others ;-)
Seriously, I've never been able to pull off that maneuver with any degree of
confidence that I'm not going to kill myself. I certainly wouldn't want to
be next to me while I was trying it.
But, my wonderful wife gave me a set of frogs for Christmas this morning, so
I suppose I'll figure all this out myself.
Happy holidays everyone!
