hotels in NYC? Try the Hotel Carter around W44th and 8th avenue, across from the New York
Times. It's an old hotel, now run by Chinese, but it's pretty clean,
friendly, and a great location. I've stayed there numerous times and only
had one setback--a clogged bathtub. They changed my room right away. Just
outside the lobby of the hotel is a small 24 hour deli that comes in handy.
Rooms there are $95.
