There's lots of Brits on the Canaries, especially on Tenerife (they even
print their own issue of the SUN down there), southern part of the island
(Playa de Las Americas).

Even more Brits should be in Cyprus (Greek part), as it used to be british
before. They still have huge military compounds there, and lots of the
UN-Soldiers there guarding the border to Northern Cyprus are british as
well. So from the number of ex-pats, my guess would be Cyprus.

Regards,

Frank

Don't know about ex-pats, but the biggest concentration of British "pats"
probably reside in the conveniencess of
Alicante, Budapest, Dublin, Faro, Prague & Tallinn - though not necessarily
in the same alphadigestive order.

Many thanks for all the responses. By concentration I really mean the most
>english speakers in one geographical area.

as well as retiring i want to run a little business locally which since i
have dyslexia about learning a foreign language (learn it and forget it the
following week) means i have to go where there are the most english speakers
preferably in a retired and holiday area.

having the 'largest' number of english speakers in a warmish climate and in
a pensioners type area would make life more convenient and practical. But
where are they all exactly?
many thanks john west
