Sanibel Island, FL - has anyone stayed at . . .

Castaways Resort, Beachview Cottages or Tween-Waters Inn?

If so, were your unit and the property clean and well-maintained or were
they rusty, mildewy and otherwise not very fresh? Decent pool? Clean
beach? Hammocks and comfy outside seating for reading and lounging?

If you've stayed at more than one of these, do you have a preference? We
will have done the Disney thing and are heading to Sanibel to get seriously
sorry for a few days of books, beach and sunsets.

What we're looking for is the Sanibel equivalent to Lime Tree Bay Resort on
Long Key - it isn't available when we're going.

Any other information about the island would be much appreciated!

Prob too late for this post but, i stayed at Buttonwood
cottages. Very clean, free bikes and quiet. No pool but the
beach was right down a secluded road. About 3 minute walk.
There is a wildlife sanctuary on the island which is nice
to visit. About 30 miles of bike trails and some really nice
restaurants. Buttonwood is in Old Town Sanibel area near the
lighthouse.
