Gas finally went down.

as an aside, my wife went to get her nails done today - one of the workers
just returned from Vietnam and said gasoline there was 7 bucks a gallon.

I saw somewhere the other day its 12 bucks in Turkey.

A friend just drove his daughters pickup to Alaska (ferry too expensive) and
said was over $6 in Canada and nearly same as here,

Ron, get a grip. No commodity goes up by over 50%, especially a vital
commodity like oil, without serious consequences. And it has gone up in
Turkey as well as the US.
