Default '99 Corolla - automatic shifter hard to move

Hi,

I have a '99 Corolla with an automatic transmission. It seems that moving
the shifter between gears (i.e. Park, Reverse...) is getting harder.

Any ideas what would cause this?

Thanks in advance

Poor adjustment, or perhaps something is caught in the linkage.
