DRLs are not a required component ... like a windshield or headlights or
tailights, etc.

All you have 'tried' to do is post a position you agree with. That you
cannot fathom an opposing viewpoint is YOUR problem.

I'd certainly be safer what with you espousing the deactivation
of safety devices for no apparent reason...

Yup .... that you are about two thousand miles away is not a factor. LOL
What that say about your mental state? LOL

Well, when the opposing viewpoint makes no sense it certainly
DOES make it difficult to fathom...

Proof reading error on my part. Meant to read:
All you have 'tried' to do is get me to post a position you agree with. Such
a post would require minimal thought on your part. That you cannot fathom
an opposing viewpoint is YOUR problem.

Or yours?...apparently you cannot make the connect that if an old
experienced driver like yourself is advocating something then the
young bucks glom onto it like manna.
Never heard the old adage "No man is an island"?...not overly
swift are you?...

Actually he can. The fact that they make vehicles more noticable doesn't
mean that more people in fact notice them. Look at the number of people
that drive into emergency vehicles. Certainly a police car, ambulance,
or fire truck with bright red, blue, amber, and/or white flashing,
blinking, rotating lights is far more noticable than a car with DRLs.
Yet people run into emergency vehicles, even stationary ones, all the
time. The excuse invariably is "I didn't see you".
All to many people drive HUA all too often.

If you mean the "young bucks" are going to "glom onto" deactivating their
DRLs ... so be it. What happens to people who just accept everything without
asking ... WHY? They become Kanadian Gourds

Clearly an annoyance is the same as a safety feature to you. Using your
logic, YOU are a "safety feature."
