Default Avalon fuel filter impossible to remove!

Ok, so I haven't ever replaced the fuel filter on my 1997 Avalon. The mechanic
couldn't even get it off today. This guy is no weakling. OK, so what's the
secret? It is in a great position too, under the master cylinder below the air
intake. What a great spot. Any ideas?

Thanks

Use the filter wrench that fits over the top of the filter. Go to the parts
store, look at a new filter for your car, check it against the sizeable
filter wrenches. It is the one that takes a 3/8 " drive (with extension if
needed) to operate.
