how to open the brake light box behind the rear seat?

My brake light for 1994 Camry is not working. I tried to change the
light bulb for the brake light. The box where the light is located
looks seamless and I can't really pull it out. With experience of
breaking things (while trying to fix something else) in the past, I'd
like to get the information from experts first. Can you give me info
on how to open the box to replace the light bulb?

Owner's manual does have instructions.
IIRC, push in and down, then lift up and back, on the front (near
side) of the cover.
You're disengaging the plastic catch inside the cover.
