Default Emergency Immediatre Action Items

Do you have an immediate action item checklist to follow? Can you cope
with an engine failure at 200' after takeoff? What do you do? How much
time do you have and what are you gonna do?

Just to mess with you - yes.

Identify which it is - it's the one that corresponds to the foot I can
lift off the rudder and still go straight.
Verify that I got it right by pulling that throttle to idle.
Feather by pulling the prop lever all the way back.

Once I get that much done, I have all the time in the world to circle
over the airport until I climb to pattern altitude at Vyse corrected
for weight and density altitude.

Did I mention I have two?

OK, OK.

Pull the knob.
Turn into the wind, banking about 45 degrees.
Once turned towards the airstrip, line up with it and apply spoilers.
Land downwind.

Did I mention the engine is on the plane pulling me?

Gotta be a little more specific...

Michael - MEI, CFIG (among other things)
