Default What headsets would you recommend?

Instead of renting my headset from a local FBO for 5 dollars per hour,
I 'm thinking of investing in one for myself. I want some advise as
far as what brand should I invest in, how much noise cancellation I
should be looking for, what price I should pay,etc I'm not looking
for the cheapest brand, but something that will last me throughout the
years. I would like to note that I do wear corrective lenses. Any
advise would be appreciated!

It would help to know how much you are
willing to spend and whether or not ANR
is wanted.

You can spend a lot of money some of it depends on what you like. I
hated my David Clark's (they seemed like some sort of 1950's
mechanical headband to me, I think they're made for old guys who like
a lot of metal). I have Lightspeeds that I use only long flights, but
honestly, for shorter flights I find that they are too much hassle
(they are physically larger, have batteries, are in their own special
baggie, etc). For most of my flying I still use the old Flightcom's I
bought as a student. I replace the seals, muff, and headband every
year or so and I love them.
