Default marking charts

I have used the erasable highlight markers... they erase very well but
sometimes I cannot mark over areas I previously erased. Other than
that they work fine.

Another way is to scan in the chart, customize it, and print multiple
copies (if you have a scanner & color printer. This also allows you
to cut & paste using a graphics editor to combine chart sides.

With the gfx editor, you can also add little boxes with stuff like
pattern altitudes, special frequences; draw lines with bearing
degrees, mark unusable VOR areas, etc. I liked to also highlight the
superhighways to make them even more visible on the map, along with
any special landmarks.

If you have older vision, it's also a great way to blow up the map :)

What is the chart-folding approach that you're referring to?
