I used the Gleim book to study for my knowledge test.
I completed the practical test at FlightSafety - Toledo, OH in their
King Air 200 simulator. I took a King Air initial course since that is
what I will be flying for at least the next year. I did a normal
takeoff with an abort around 80 knots (two engines), another normal
takeoff with a climb to altitude to do steep turns, and stalls. In
addition, we fulfilled the requirement to do an emergency descent from
FL290. At that time we did a GPS approach with a miss (two engines),
and a hold. We came around and did a single-engine VOR approach to a
missed approach, with vectors to the ILS still single engine, to a
full-stop landing. At that time, we did another takeoff with an engine
failure at V1, continue the takeoff and climb for vectors to another
ILS to be flown single engine, to a missed approach and another
holding pattern. We came around, did yet another ILS, to a balked
landing climb up on a heading, airstart the inoperative engine,
vectors for a LOC approach with a circle to land, and the checkride
was over. It was really quite simple.
