Default Palm PDA Field experience?

Hi,

I'm looking for a replacement Palm PDA to run SoaringPilot software.
I have a Tungsten T and I'm very happy with it's display clarity even
in bright sunlight, but it has a problem with touchscreen registration
when it gets hot, and this often makes the software unusable.

Anyone currently using other Palm devices, like the Tungsten E2 or
TX? If so, have you had any problems with touch-screen registration
and/or display glare/contrast?

TIA,

Frank(TA)

I went for a monochrome display - found the colour screens not great
for soaringpilot. found a IBM PDA similar to a PALM VX which I have
dedicated to soaring. It was cheap at about $100 eventhough new at the
time - sure they can be found really cheap on e-bay. No problems
running soaringpilot which has always been written with lower
processing power in mind and is not very graphic. Have tried a few
other solutions using my IPAQ but always go back to the trusty palm
running soaringpilot with its monochrome screen - its just so easy to
see and use.

Try disassembling the T and cleaning the flat-cable connectors.
That did the trick for the 3 Tungsten-T models in our club.

The "T" is still the Palm to go for.
Cheap, really good display in the sun and fast.
