Default Handle bar Extenders

When I read extenders, I thought you meant handlebar hooks, which
attach at the end of the handlebar. Is it risers you mean? They go
beneath the bars, on top of the steering column. If this is what you
mean, then the purpose is to put them in a more comfortable position
when you are standing. I suppose they would help taller people as
well. I know that some of the older Polaris had pretty low bars, I
didn't like them at all. They would have been a candidate for a 2"
riser (personally speaking, of course).

Also makes it easier to sidehill. More leverage. Of course you are
standing when you are sidehilling. I am only 5" 7" and I have a 3 inch
extension on mine for mountain riding.

Default Handle bar Extenders

I guess I do mean risers. All of your examples explain it well. I now
recall having to shift myself around when making very sharp turns and
the handle bar hitting my knees. I don't ride in deep snow or mountain
terrain. 2" risers might be what I need to make my riding more enjoyable.

Thanks to all,

Jerry
