| | Guest | Belize in April We are taking our first trip to Belize in the end of April and staying
at Ramon's on Ambergris Caye. Since this is our first trip, I'd love
to hear from anyone that has stayed at Ramon's and can give us their
opinion of the resort and what to do/dive (Blue Hole already
planned). Thanks in advance for any help!

The Palms, just for starters and it's right next door. If you can do
without a pool, then look at Belizean Reef, which is right next door to the
Palms.
If you are happy with only a hotel room, rather than a kitchenette or suite,
look at the Sunbreeze.
If you don't mind being a bit further south of town, I love a little place
called Mata Rocks.
Xanadu is fabulous.
And the list goes on.
What are your particular wants, needs or desires?

| | Guest | Belize in April I stayed at the Mayan Princess a couple of years ago and was thinking
about going back. No pool, but Amigos del Mar had their dive operation
there. The distances weren't very great, although I never got north of
the "ferry".

I most often stay at the Mayan Princess. However, I've decided to quit
recommending it because it is getting hard for me to get a room there.
I most often dive with Amigos.
There is no ferry anymore. They put in a bridge. There's lots of
development going on north of the "ferry" now.
