Default Curacao!

A group of us going to Curacao in a few weeks. Staying at the Breezes,
doing 5x days of boat diving, plus a little shore diving. Anyone with
suggestions on favourite dive spots? Any "must sees"? Activity
recommendations?

Can hardly wait!

When not diving see the Kura Hulanda Museum. A must do. Westpunt is
pretty with lunch at Jaanchies.

I've been to Curacao twice, last time in january 2005, have always
stayed and dove at Sunset Waters...GO DIVE MUSHROOM FOREST! Make sure
they take you where there are seahorses too!

That said, the water this trip was siltier than last year due to
unusual rainfall the last few months, i hope it is better for your
trip.

Definitely the Habitat. Best shore diving and closest to the best dive
sites, like the mushroom forest.

I concur with NJDiver, definitely Habitat. Lions is closer to town but the
diving is not even close to that at Habitat. Stayed at Habitat in 2004 and
Lions in August 2005. When I go back it will be to Habitat.

The food is good, not great. The Habitat runs a shuttle into town on a
regular basis. There are some really great restaurants in town. The bar
is outside, open air and overlooking the water - very nice set up.

NJ Diver gets a non-stop to Curacao on Continental out of Newark.

I prefer Lions Dive by far. Here you can walk to happy hour at Mambo Beach,
visit the sea aquarium, visit
the town or nearby restaurants. Rent a car and go out diving anywhere on
the island at any hour you want.
Why be a slave to a dive boat schedule...arent you here to shore dive? When
you take a boat they almost
always just drive a ways down the shore to a spot you could just as easily
got to on your own from shore. The
big exeption is Mushroom Forest which you need a boat.

Hope this helps.

Heading to Curacao in early November. Travelling on AA. I normally have
