I don't have advice on getting certified there.
However, the most memorable dives I've ever had were in the Tahitian
Islands. Incredible. Don't expect diving to be as good anywhere else
(okay, most anywhere else!).
One suggestion I have is learn before you go (and don't rush). Then in
Tahiti you can just enjoy the diving.
Enjoy that amazing visibility. Say hello to the sharks and eels for me.
