| | Guest | Coaster Counting Can O' Worms... I know it's been discussed probably a billion times before, but I am having
a dilemma about counting coasters. More specifically, when a ride is moved
from one location to another. Even if the name changes, I do not count it as
another coaster ridden unless the layout of the ride changes significantly
in some way.
For example, I rode Voodoo (currently at Dorney Park) when it was Steel
Venom at Geauga Lake, so I won't count it again when I ride it at Dorney.
I'm sure this makes my count seem lower when compared to other enthusiasts
who count the same ride twice here and there.
Can anyone give me a really valid reason why I should count the same coaster
twice? (Other than to inflate my ride count!)
Thanks,
Jason
(Currently sitting at 226 different coasters ridden!)

You should consult George. He's just *god* when it comes to knowing how to
count coasters. | |

Bad juju, David. Things are quiet when "he who shall not be named" isn't
brought up.
Me? I'm still hoping he was murdered on the Orient Express.

| | Guest | Coaster Counting Can O' Worms... Hey Moosh - nope, not directed at you. Just making one of my usual
opinionated "general statements" :)
Not saying if people want to count they shouldn't - hey, it's all fun,
but seriously, the value of someones coaster count is quite diminished
these days to the point where it's useless IMO and just becomes
bragging rights. I know so many people now with +500 counts versus
"back then" getting to 100 was an accomplishment and much more rare.

I've been counting rat tails, 6 in 2 weeks! 2 of them were braided!

Braided?!?#@$@? Get out! Gotta get Miller to add more to his photo
updates!
My best mullet count is tied at 28. August, 2001 at Indiana Beach and
July, 2003 at Magic Springs.
