| | Guest | SBNO Opinions So, last week I took a trip to 4 parks (well 5 really) with my 7 year
old son. I will save the TR for later, but we actually started out our
coaster journey with a stop at CLP in PA and it got me to thinking.
Even though we hope to see almost every woodie saved...if you had to
pick one woodie that is currently SBNO or dismantled that you could
save which one would it be?
Big Dipper
Blue Streak
Joyland Coaster
Zingo
William's Grove Cyclone

Zingo needs to be saved? Last I heard Robbie Bell intends to rebuild
his park -- and his signature coaster -- in the Tulsa area.

| | Guest | SBNO Opinions With all the buzz surrounding this Big Dipper, I almost hate to say
that while I'd like to see it "saved" - it would only be because it is
part of my childhood memories. The ride itself is just so-so, with
Raging Wolf Bobs being much better (post re-work) IMO. In all honesty,
Dipper really only means something to me if it is still standing where
it is right now.
I'd probably cast my vote for CLP's Blue Streak

Is Schreechin' Eagle that great of a ride? (no offense as I would
prefer to save all of them)
I have been on all of the coasters listed so far except for
Schreechin' Eagle and Big Dipper (didn't hit any of Geauga
Lake....would have gone last year if I had known), but I would have to
place my vote for Joyland's Coaster. That ride was kick butt when I
rode it on two different trips back in the early 90's.

| | Guest | SBNO Opinions Megazeph would be my choice because it makes the most sense - it was a
damned good ride and the public would still like it, making it a very
viable option, I would think
.. It was easy top 10 for me when it was running, and likely still
would scrape in there I think today.
Sentimental favorites would include the Williams Grove Cyclone, the
Joyland coaster, and the Texas Cyclone.

| | Guest | SBNO Opinions BIG DIPPER. I rode it last year for the first time in a long time (didn't
realize it would be my last). Great ride, lots of airtime and padded seats
made it comfortable all day... I rode it at least 15 consecutive times.

| | Guest | SBNO Opinions What about Villain? Obviously, it is now on the NONS list (not
operating not standing :) ) but, if I could have that ride back in its
former glory (2000-2001), I'd love it.
I guess we could expand this and ask which rides you would bring back
from a pile of scrap, but I'm thinking the CBC would be everyone's
answer.
