I'd guess it's something like "CHA-CHING."
I love it when people start screaming "sellout!" It always amuses me.
"He's part of the Machine now! He has betrayed our ideals!" It's
like the inverse of the hardcore Rage Against the Machine fans who
don't understand that they're contributing to the Machine by buying
those cds.
I'm no skateboarder, so I don't have a real opinion on Tony Hawk. But
I'm fine with him cashing those checks. Rake it in while you can,
man. "Sellout!" is usually a sign that you're succeeding on a massive
scale, because the fringe is suddenly feeling betrayed and angsty
about you and corporations. And if the fringe is all angsty about
you, you're moving into sensible adult territory.
Not to belittle your son, Steven. Okay, maybe just a little. I'll
bet he just "loves" Bam Margera for the same reasons.
