Compounce's structure is an early Bisch-Rocco with a long history..
It was first installed at West View Park (Pittsburgh) in the late
'30s. Then spent time at Idora Park (78 - 84) and as the Phantom
Phylers (Kennywood - 1995 season) before moving to Lake Compounce in
1997.
The tubs are not original equipment - but were manufactured by BR.
They were replaced sometime before the late 70s. We have pictures
showing the current tubs at Idora.

Any idea why the drive and rotary mechanisms are different than the others?

Good question for Chris, but *my* guess is that it was an in-house
hydraulic conversion done by one of the owners. It looks a lot like
the hydraulic drive used on some Paratroopers.

Pretty much.
