Default Six Flags Dubailand announced

Who's next? Astroland Dubai? Playland Dubai? Knoebels Dubai? (Nooooooo!)

From the Orlando Sentinel; by Scott Powers March 5, 2008-
"Just days after Busch Entertainment Corp. announced that it would create a
SeaWorld and three other parks in the Middle East boomtown of Dubai, Six
Flags announced Tuesday that it, too, will create a theme park there.

Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates, is quickly emerging as a global tourist
destination. In going there, Six Flags follows Busch; Universal Studios,
which announced a Dubai park last year; and smaller theme-park companies.

In Six Flags, Dubai gets the world's largest owner of regional theme parks
and a top operator of thrill rides, particularly roller coasters. The
company has 21 parks in North America, but none in Florida.

As other companies have done, Six Flags plans to license its concepts and
products and will run the Dubai park, but it will not develop or own it. The
company developing the property, Tatweer, will put up the capital and own
the park.

Six Flags Dubailand will fill 60 lushly landscaped acres with thrill rides,
family attractions and entertainment, Six Flags Vice President Sandra
Daniels said."

This is a key item here. Understand that Dubai is full of money, aware
the money will at some point run out about 40 years from now, and is
building for the future. Why not become a wonderland for everything
ever (particularly when English is the unofficial language)? Plus they
have one of the best airlines in the skies and a new airport being
built. Should be fun times come 2011/2012....
