The vehicles are still in the *design phase*. When I spoke with PTC
about them on SAT, no art was available yet and the restraint system
was not discussed. I am guessing they will use PTC's standard
individual lap bars.

SR, thanks for adding this information. I'm really hoping that PTC
could incorporate a "T" shaped restraint. I feel that it would be an
improvement over their standard individual lap bar. It would make for
a much more comfortable position for the leg toward the outside of the
car. I guess we'll find out soon enough.

I would rather have my legs closer to the center than have the lapbar
sticking right in my gut. That is why I hope they use the standard
lap bar and not the T shaped restraint.

Definitiely NOT trailers. Four road wheels per coach.
When I was working on this story for AT, Tom Rebbie stressed that some
of the new train's specifics were still being decided upon. Artistic
renderings/drawings will be coming soon. Though I did not attend the
recent ACE Con, Tom said that he did mention the trains to the crowd
there.

Tom Rebbie has told me several times (personally) that he would never use a
"T" shaped lap bar in his trains, preferring to use a lap bar made from a
single steel bar. | |

Only about a decade. Don't forget their steel coaster trains.
Sad thing is, Miller invented the trailered-train before he invented the
current PTC boxcar.
