I have been very pleased with 303 on my decals and all plastic trim.. On
the paintwork, I use ProtectAll.

Have you tried WD-40 on the faded vinyl? If not, try a small spot.

Thanks Mike,
Yes, I've used 303 on the decals too. but I was too
late, I guess. I have a couple of vertical faded stripes on a big decal..
Mike, isn't Protectall similier to 303? It's not a wax right? Bottom line
is, that, I'm probably just stalling. <VBG>

ProtectAll contains petroleum distillates. It can damage vinyl and rubber.

303 is a protectant only. ProtectAll is a wax with UV inhibitors. The
ProtectAll adds a durable wax shine to the painted metal. While 303 won't
restone the decals that have deteriorated badly, it will make em look
better. Apply the 303 and let it soak in, then reapply 'til the decal will
no longer absorb any protectant. Reapply every 30 days.

While WD40 may add a temporary sheen, the petroleum distillates will
accelerate the againg process. Use 303!!

Isn't vinyl made from petroleum products?

I have used WD40 on my dirt bikes for years and haven't had any
problem with the vinyl decals. But, they don't sit out in the sun
much.

Hank <~~~Loves WD40, can't wait until they come out with WD41
