Been wondering when we would get a report.
"Recalculating" is a good thing, Hunter. We
hear is a lot because we tend to make little
stops and diversions along the way.
We even try to calculate when Emily is going
to say "Recalulating."
So.....how do you like the C340 by now?
And......is it a he or a she and what is it's
name? LOL!
Some of the rental car outfits charge like
$11 per day to put one in your rental. We
are flying to South Carolina in November
and will be renting a car. We are using up
some Air Miles. Emily will be along and
ready to plug in.

FL is not in our plans. Been there and done that.
We are not real big on FL, which is just a polite
way of saying we don't care for it.
We plan to do 2 days in Charleston and then will
be in Hilton Head and also day trip to Savannah.
We still own one timeshare week from long ago
and use it to trade into this kinda trip.
Air Miles and condo trade. Works out well.
But "hay." Ya gotta name yer Garmin. After all
the snoot over horses, hay, gourmet, gourmand
and street names we should be able to come up
with a dusey! 8^) <snerk>
~ Street Gourmin or Street Garmet or Street Gourmet?
~ Hayfinder?
~ Bruiserpointer?
~ Horsin' Along?
~ Horsealong McHunter?
~ Hundredhunter?
And actually.....maybe it sould just be a namesake.
It is hunting for you. Call it Hunter Jr. or just Hunt.
Jan......stiring the pot. 8^) | |

I've used the older Garmin software on a very old laptop, so the
recalculating surely took even longer than in your case.

That means you were on the freeway with it. Freeways have bridges over other
roads or under bridges for other roads.

You were on a bridge or under a bridge, right? The software thought you were
on the road below or the road above.
> Odd.
Especially since the software could use artificial intelligence to calculate
vectors for both roads and apply the best vector.

Yup. :-)

I've noticed mine, a c330, often has trouble where roads are recently
rerouted. It will show us driving without a road beneath us & recalculating
continuiously.
When this happens, I turn the sound down until it is happy with the route
again.
Not to reopen an old issue, but I had no service before & couldn't comment
then. I think you'll find after a while, that a glance at the GPS
occasionally is no different than the way you look at your mirrors & just
generally move your eyes around to be aware of your surroundings as you
drive.
